MK is turning 5! And, First Blog Event

What bun is this?

My Kitchen is turning 5 next month! Did not expected my passion in blogging will last so long with almost 500 blog posts. I have been spending lots of time here, with you. Thank you for supporting me... like it or not, more foods to come.
To cut it short, this post is about my first blog event. Prize will be given to the first correct answer received. This is a guessing game, just tell me what do you think this bread is. Need hint? Maybe you will think it is weird.

    Well, I think is a plain roll with the addition of brown sugar ;-)

    However, there is one not-so-close answer by Kristen. This bun had bit of soy sauce taste but I didn't add any.
