Pepper and Salt Prawn with Plum Sauce

Peppery Salt Prawn
Ingredients (3-4 servings):
400gm prawn (medium size)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1/4 tsp chinese 5-spice powder
1 tbsp all purpose flour
2 tsbp corn flour
2 tbsp Plum Sauce
Oil for deep frying

  1. Clean prawn and butterfly them. Season with salt, pepper and five-spice powder for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together all purpose flour and corn flour. Add in prawn and turn to coat, shake off extra flour and deep fry till golden brown.
  3. Drain on paper towel. Place prawns on serving plate and drizzle the plum sauce over them.
