BBD#2: Apple Cinnamon Roll

Apple Cinnamon Roll

There are so many types of breads in the world, which one is your favourite bread? To me, my favourite is the coffee shop's cotton soft white bread with Planta margarine and kaya spread that I grown up with. In fact, I could eat the bread plain to enjoy its heavenly soft texture and unique aroma. Anyone has the recipe for the soft bread?

Anyway, I baked this Apple Cinnamon Roll for the BBD#2: Bread with Fruit, hosted by Columbus Foodie. If you like apple pie, I am pretty sure you will like this bread too. The round-up of BBD#2 is available here.

Ingredients (12 servings):
150ml fresh milk
250g bread flour
30g butter, melted
20g sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp dry yeast
½ tsp bread improver
2 tbsp condensed milk

1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup castor sugar
1-2 apple, cored and sliced thinly

¼ cup fresh milk

  1. Prepare dough using bread maker.
  2. On a lightly floured working table, punch down the dough and roll out to 1 cm thick rectangle shape.
  3. Arrange apple slices on the rolled out dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar evenly.
  4. Roll up from the short edge to form a rod. Place the roll in the loaf pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degC.
  6. Brush the roll with milk and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

I'm a big fan of anything involving cinnamon and apples. Interesting that your bread has condensed milk in it. Where did you get the recipe from?

hi zorra & tatter, thanks for dropped by.

Y, I love apple and cinnamon too. That's my own recipe (I suppose), was thinking that mum used to add condensed milk to some sort of breads she made. So I added some to my bread, the result was pretty good, softer than other sweet breads I baked before.
