Hot from oven! My midnight project, mini loaf for tomorrow's breakfast. Actually these two loaves will last us for 2-3 days! Usually, I will set the timer on bread maker before sleep and the dough will be ready for baking in the morning. I am extra hardworking tonight so get everything done before going to bed. Waiting for the bread to cool down before packing them, so... blog about it while waiting. I used this recipe for these mini loaves.
I bake a lot of loaves recently! To make it more nutritious, I add raisins and cranberries and others. Btw, I heard from my friends that nuts and raisins shoud not be added if using bread maker. Cos there will be scratches. Do you have similar problems?
ReplyDeleteI seldom add nuts, T doesn't like it that much. He always asked for the plain bread. First time I heard about the scratches cause by nuts, I supposed the BM is well designed for nuts?
ReplyDeletelydia,ur photo really sharp?can i know which camera that u use?
ReplyDeletectnik,
ReplyDeleteI am using Pentax K100D.
I was also doubtful when my friend told me that nuts cannot be added. But in general it is nice to use BM, I want to invest one also. Do u have to adjust the recipe/steps when u use BM?
ReplyDeletelimpepsi,
ReplyDeleteIf making bread without using the timer, add water first then throw in all other ingredients except nuts/fruits. The BM will "tell" you when to add nuts/fruits. If using timer you would need to follow the sequence of the ingredients, usually water first and yeast last.
Some BMs come with nuts/fruits dispenser, so it will automatically adding nuts/fruits into dough. I bought the basic one, comes with few types of bread functions and timer. Some BMs come with cake and jam making function. I think there are more models of BM in western countries than in Malaysia.
Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThere are limited brands of electronic devices here, sometimes less choices than Malaysia!
